Dear Friend,
Great news! I am proud to announce that North Texas will receive federal funding to revitalize some of our busiest streets and make some local corridors safer for pedestrians, cyclists and drivers. This major investment will improve road safety, reduce congestion and create good jobs.
As a member of the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee, I worked to bring this $14.5 million investment home to Texas through the Safer Streets and Roads for All grant program, made possible by the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law I helped pass. As Texas grows, this investment isn’t optional, it is a necessity.
Improving our infrastructure benefits our entire community and helps grow our economy. It’s why I’ve worked with both parties throughout my time in Congress to deliver investments to improve our community including upgrading our Dallas bus fleet, modernizing our airport terminals, building hydrogen fueling stations across Texas, and revitalizing Southern Gateway Park and other park projects to reconnect communities.
I look forward to seeing the Safer Streets and Roads for All grant at work building a safer community for all of us North Texans. I will keep working with local leaders to ensure the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law continues to deliver for Texans.
It’s an honor to serve North Texas where I was born and raised.
Sincerely,
Colin Allred Member of Congress
