First, what a compliment to be mentioned among names like Hamilton and
Jefferson.
Second, Trump is crazy, but he’s not stupid. Of course, he lost the
popular vote to Secretary Clinton by 3 million in 2016, and of course the
Russians helped him win by hacking and dumping DNC emails and running a
social media campaign for him. But he thinks more lies will trick voters
into helping him win.
And third. You may be wondering why your contribution to my race is so
urgent — because after all, despite my opponent, Steve Garvey, out-raising
us by $1.2 million in the most recent FEC quarter, Trump seems to think
I’ve already won.
But here’s the thing, friend — Axios just reported this week
that “Control of the U.S. House may come down to six races in California.”
It’s why National Republicans have invested more than $6.4 million in
House races across the state.
And here is the truth: Even if we elect Vice President Harris (no sure
thing in a race this close), if we are going to have any hope of taking
back the House and ending the last two years of MAGA-controlled chaos,
then we simply cannot leave these California Democrats to fight back
entirely on their own.
I’m doing everything I can to help these House candidates even as I run
