Hello John ,
Have you heard Garbett Homes is matching every donation to Stewardship Utah through the end of our match campaign, up to $25,000? Any donation you make until September 20th is automatically doubled and you can help us raise $50,000!

We're a couple days into our campaign and about 18% to our goal — a great start but plenty of work to do in the coming days!
Your donation supports our work in the upcoming elections to elect strong leaders who will be proactive on public lands, water, and air issues. And, of course, our team is already preparing for the 2025 legislative session with several bills to clean our air, protect our right to vote, fill the Great Salt Lake, and ensure a healthier future for all Utahns. With winter approaching along the Wasatch Front, air quality is an issue we must solve quickly and with help from all communities across the state.

Wintertime inversions are the most visible symptom of our air quality problems, though the issue persists year-round. Stewardship Utah has provided our state a roadmap to clean air: Prosperity 2030. When passed, Prosperity 2030 will ensure that we see a 50% reduction in emissions along the Wasatch Front by 2030. Housing 80% of Utah’s population, the Wasatch Front experiences some of the worst air quality in the nation, and sometimes the world, throughout the year. Pollutants come from many sources, including transportation and industry, with a sizable portion coming from our homes and buildings.

Homes and buildings, especially in the winter, produce gasses and particulates that add to our wintertime inversion. But there are homebuilders that seek to do better and reduce their footprint. As such, Stewardship Utah is excited to have Garbett Homes as a supporter because of their energy-efficient building practices and transition to all-electric, pollution-free homes.
The best part? Garbett's own experience, just like a study by E3 (Energy & Environmental Economics) [[link removed]] , is that all-electric construction on the Wasatch Front is no more expensive than traditional construction and, likely, cheaper to live in than a home with gas appliances.
Pollution-free homes use heat pumps and electrification to eliminate the venting and pollution from methane furnaces and water heaters, among other things. Without these changes, homes and buildings will likely become the top emissions contributors along the Wasatch Front.
Thank you to Garbett Homes for leading Utah in solving air pollution from homes and matching all donations [[link removed]] through the end of this campaign to Stewardship Utah!
In gratitude,
