We hope this message finds you and your family well.
New York just finished its first complete month under strict public health restrictions to contain the spread of Covid-19 and ensure our healthcare system is not overrun. These painful but necessary measures have begun to flatten the curve in New York, though we are still met with devastating and tragic news every day. It is imperative we follow social distancing measures until it is safe to relax them.
In the meantime, social distancing should never mean social isolation. This is why BYD has tried to remain as active as we were before the outbreak of coronavirus in both helping elect Democrats and support our communities.
This Sunday, we plan to co-host a community check-in phone bank with one of our endorsed candidates for District Leader, Kristina Naplatarski.
We'll be checking in on folks in the 50th Assembly District to see how they are holding up during and directing those in need to information or assistance.
No prior experience with phone banking is needed! We will be meeting on Zoom this Sunday at 3:00 PM for a quick training and we'll remain together for the duration of the phone bank.
WHEN: Sunday, May 3rd, at 3:00 PM.

We'll stay in touch, and we hope to "see" you on Sunday!
P.S. If you are a registered voter in New York City, you can now apply to receive an absentee ballot online! As a result of an Executive Order from Governor Cuomo, all New Yorkers will be able to vote absentee in the June 23rd primary. Click here to apply.
