Donald Trump spoke a lot of absolutely outrageous nonsense on Tuesday – much of it downright offensive.
But he got one thing right: When voters get the chance to weigh in on reproductive rights, they are overwhelmingly supportive.
But going state by state isn’t enough – not when Republicans are using every dirty tactic in the book to try to restrict those rights, even in states where the voters have spoken and enshrined reproductive freedom into state constitutions. We need to send Kristin Lyerly to Congress to lead the charge for federal action to protect reproductive rights.
