Listen, team: This is one of the most important elections of our lifetime.
Our lives are at stake, and this race is going to be incredibly close.
Millions of people will vote for Donald Trump, Republicans, and their white supremacist playbook that calls for mass deportations and the destruction of our immigration system. So we need more people to vote against them.
That’s why UWDA made a strategic and difficult decision to endorse Vice President Kamala Harris and Governor Tim Walz this week because we know one thing is certain: we must do everything we can to defeat Trump.
This isn’t about relying on one politician to save us — it’s about voting for the conditions that allow us to live and fight another day, and continue applying pressure on our elected officials to center progressive policies and our Youth Agenda in their work.
Let’s BFFR: Politicians won’t save us. We will save us. But in order to do that, we need, at a minimum, an administration that isn’t devising a playbook to deport our communities, revoke our freedoms, and make it nearly impossible for us to continue organizing.
We can’t organize our vision of the future under a Trump presidency. That’s why we NEED to elect Kamala Harris and Tim Walz. Not for them, but for us.
We’re counting on you to step up and support our work of mobilizing young voters between now and Election Day. We have the power to sway this election, friend, but we need your help. Will you chip in today?
