Donald Trump's decision to have professional racist Laura Loomer accompany him to Tuesday night's debate appears to have struck a nerve with QAnon enthusiast Marjorie Taylor Greene, who decided to lash out at Loomer over a heinously racist tweet. Loomer — a self-proclaimed "proud Islamaphobe" — wrote, "If @KamalaHarris wins, the White House will smell like curry & White House speeches will be facilitated via a call center..." Greene responded, "This is appalling and extremely racist. It does not represent who we are as Republicans or MAGA. This does not represent President Trump. This type of behavior should not be tolerated ever!” which is extremely rich since this is precisely the kind of thing Trump and his lackeys say on the regular. They've spent the past three days promoting blood libel about pet-eating immigrants! Loomer quickly fired back, writing that MTG was a "raging anti-Semite" who has a "favorite word that starts with N" and used to beg her for racism advice when MTG was bullying Rep. Illhan Omar. For what must be the 37th time this year, Johnson was once again stymied by the feral trolls in the Freedom Caucus, who are refusing to back down from a last second national voter ID provision that is obviously unacceptable to Democrats and has no business being in a stopgap spending bill anyway. Having spent his entire speakership between a rock and a hard place, it is unclear how Johnson will wriggle his way out of this one, though if history is any guide it will be a last second punt that sets up the same fight again in three months. “I feel like I am stuck in Groundhog’s Day. Biden: "Full accountability" needed for IDF killing of US citizen in West Bank
President Biden said Wednesday that he was "outraged" by the killing of an American activist by an Israeli soldier last week and that Israel needs to take "full accountability" for the "deeply disturbing" incident. Aysenur Ezgi Eygi, 26, was shot in the head during a protest in the town of Beita last Friday. The Biden administration had pressed Israel to swiftly provide information on the incident, and the IDF investigation was concluded unusually fast due primarily to the fact that she was an American. Eygi, who graduated from the University of Washington earlier this year and also held Turkish citizenship, was a peace activist who opposed Israeli occupation of the West Bank. "I am outraged and deeply saddened by the death of Aysenur Eygi. Aysenur was a recent US college graduate. She was also an activist whose idealism led her to travel to the West Bank to peacefully protest the expansion of settlements. The shooting that led to her death is totally unacceptable," Biden said in a statement, before apparently accepting the Israeli excuse that the killing was a "tragic accident." This is also what the Israelis said when US citizen and beloved journalist Shireen Abu Akleh was shot to death by IDF forces in 2022, even though a State Department probe found that it was certainly not an accident. Nobody has been held accountable for her murder, just as nobody's been held accountable for the murder of 17-year-old American boy Tawfiq Ajaq, a New Orleans native who was killed by an off-duty Israeli police officer in the West Bank in January.

Yet another grieving family has had to speak out and tell the MAGA cult leader to stop exploiting the tragic death of their child for his twisted, heinously racist political agenda. Aiden Clark, 11, died in a tragic accident when an immigrant crashed his car into a schoolbus, but Donald Trump and JD Vance have been on the campaign trail telling people that the boy was "murdered," and the boy's father Nathan Clark has had enough. “I wish that my son, Aiden Clark, was killed by a 60-year-old white man. I bet you never thought anyone would say something so blunt, but if that guy killed my 11-year-old son, the incessant group of hate-spewing people would leave us alone,” said Clark in a city commission meeting. “Bernie Moreno [GOP Senate candidate], Chip Roy [GOP rep from Texas], JD Vance, and Donald Trump … have spoken my son’s name and used his death for political gain. This needs to stop now. They can vomit all the hate they want about illegal immigrants, the border crisis and even untrue claims about fluffy pets being ravaged and eaten by community members. However, they are not allowed, nor have they ever been allowed, to mention Aiden Clark from Springfield, Ohio. Did you know that one of the worst feelings in the world is to not be able to protect your child? Even worse, we can’t protect his memory when he’s gone. Please stop the hate.” It is truly sickening to see how the Trump team has embraced white-hood, blood-and-soil racism as a last ditch ploy to win the election, and it just goes to show how these reprehensible scumbags don't actually give a single f*ck about families, kids, or small-town American communities when grieving parents are forced to speak out like this.

In yet another appalling display of the remorseless and dishonest behavior that is exhibited all too often by major police forces, the NYPD has recently tossed out over 400 credible misconduct cases without even looking at them. They included officers wrongfully searching vehicles and homes, as well as using excessive force against New Yorkers. The practice of killing cases without review began three years ago as a way to cope with escalating caseloads that were approaching a deadline for discipline. But ProPublica found the disturbing practice has become more frequent under Police Commissioner Edward Caban. Seeing as Caban himself is being investigated by a federal corruption probe, it's pretty clear that we need someone ELSE to be holding the police accountable, since they don't seem very interested in doing so.
