Anti-democratic efforts to purge voters from voter rolls have been rampant across the country this year. Under the guise of removing the almost nonexistent threat of voter fraud, anti-voter groups across states like Georgia, Michigan, and Nevada have moved to disenfranchise voters by removing their voter registration.
As we always say, our democracy works best when everyone participates. That means giving every single voter equal opportunity to vote in our elections—and removing their voter registration threatens that ability.
This year, in addition to our voter turnout letters, [Vote Forward volunteers are writing to unregistered potential voters in Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, North Carolina, Nevada, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin encouraging them to register to vote]([link removed]) in this year’s elections. Each year, millions of Americans miss their opportunity to participate in our democracy, and this year, we’re hoping to make that number smaller.
