### **Harris is Wasting Taxpayer Dollars in Her Quest for a Green New Deal**
The Biden-Harris administration has spent a significant amount of taxpayer money on climate policies. However, a recent study has shown that many of these policies have not been successful despite the significant investments.
The study, published in the Journal of Science, reviewed 1,500 climate policies implemented by 41 developed countries from 1998 to 2022. Only 63 policies (4%) significantly reduced emissions by 0.6 to 1.8 billion tons of CO2. The combined CO2 emissions from these countries are predicted to exceed the Paris Climate Agreement's target by 23 billion metric tons by 2030.
The study found that subsidies and regulations are ineffective in reducing emissions, while carbon taxes have proven to be more effective. Despite this, the Biden-Harris administration doubled down on subsidies and regulations.
The Biden-Harris administration has allocated significant funds to subsidies for emissions reduction despite knowing their limited effectiveness. The 2021 Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act directed over $110 billion to climate and energy projects, and the "Inflation Reduction Act" in 2022 pledged $369 billion over a decade for climate change and energy. However, a recent projection from the Congressional Budget Office indicates that these climate tax credits could end up costing around $428 billion, a 16% increase over initial estimates.
