John,

Today, we stand united in solemn remembrance of the tragic events of September 11, 2001. On this day 23 years ago, our nation faced an unimaginable attack that changed us forever.

We lost thousands of innocent lives—friends, neighbors, first responders, and loved ones who embodied the spirit of New York and the resilience of America.

As we reflect on the heroism, sacrifice, and unity that followed the darkest day in our history, let us honor the brave men and women who ran towards danger to save others—the firefighters, police officers, EMTs, and countless volunteers who exemplified courage and selflessness.

We also stand steadfast with those who continue to suffer from the long-term health effects resulting from their brave service at Ground Zero. Their sacrifices did not end on September 11th, and we remain committed to supporting them and ensuring they receive the care they deserve.

We must also remember that the fight for freedom is never over.

The enemies of our nation remain relentless, and it is our duty to ensure that America is always prepared, vigilant, and strong. As we pay tribute to the heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice, we reaffirm our commitment to safeguarding our homeland and defending the values that make America exceptional.

On this day of reflection and resolve, we ask all New Yorkers to come together, not just in memory, but in action. Let us support our first responders and law enforcement, honor our military, and stand firm against any threat to our freedom and way of life.

May we never forget those we lost, the bravery that inspired us, and the unity that continues to bind us.

With gratitude and strength,

New York State Republican Party
