BREAKING: ROBERT ROBERSON’S HABEAS CORPUS PLEA DENIED
Today, the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals (CCA) denied Robert Roberson’s application for a writ of habeas corpus and motion for a stay of execution. Here’s why:
The CCA claimed that this application did not meet the procedural requirements, despite new medical and scientific evidence that proves that no crime ever occurred and that Robert is innocent. This evidence was not available when Robert’s previous habeas application was filed in 2016.

Robert is an innocent father who has spent over two decades on Texas’ death row for a crime that never occurred. In 2003, Robert was wrongfully convicted of the death of his daughter, Nikki, under the now-debunked shaken baby syndrome hypothesis. Today, medical and scientific evidence shows that Nikki died of natural and accidental causes.
Unless Gov. Greg Abbott intervenes, Robert will be the first person in the U.S. executed based on the discredited shaken baby syndrome hypothesis.
