This past Tuesday, we joined Councilmember Kate Stewart for a rally and
press conference to celebrate the unanimous passage of her Resolution to
Affirm Montgomery County’s Commitment to Reproductive Rights. [ [link removed] ](Don’t

The passage of the resolution is a huge victory, but the attendance and
counter-protest of Moms For Liberty proves that even in Maryland—even in
Montgomery County—anti-abortion extremists are a threat. They are
organized, and they are able to turn people out. It’s clear that our
work is far from over.

The battle for reproductive rights continues, even in Maryland. Like
Donald Trump, opponents of reproductive freedom are lying and trying to
distract voters. The ongoing noise from MAGA Republicans and
anti-abortion extremists is proof of why we must continue to fight for
our freedoms.

similar resolutions upholding the right to reproductive justice as a

P.S. Reproductive freedom is on the ballot in November. We saw abortion
rights take center stage in the Presidential Debate Tuesday night, but
