Last night, I joined Jimmy Kimmel to talk about Taylor Swift’s big announcement, the presidential debate, the climate crisis, and the terrifying reality of what another Trump presidency could mean.

Trump has said he’d jail his critics if he wins, and since Jimmy and I have had a lot to say about the Orange Man over the years, we’re pretty sure we’re going to be cellmates if he wins. But let’s be real — Trump is not going to win. He can’t. We won’t let him.

If you watched the debate, you saw Trump double down on his wildest conspiracy theories, spreading blatant lies about everything from “immigrants eating puppies” to “post-birth abortion” (both of which DON’T happen). This dangerous, false rhetoric is only feeding into the fear and division that Trump has used to tear our country apart.

The contrast couldn’t have been clearer: While Vice President Kamala Harris laid out a vision of hope, progress, and real change, Trump stoked fear, chaos, and destruction.

Listen, the debate wasn’t perfect. It took until the last 10 minutes for the moderators to ask a question about the climate crisis — the single most existential issue we’re facing.

But I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: When we vote for a president, we’re not marrying them. We’re choosing someone who will steer us toward a livable future. That’s why, whether you’re a Republican, Democrat, Independent, or not affiliated with a party at all, I urge you: vote with climate in your heart this November.

Vote for the candidate who will safeguard a future for your children, your grandchildren, your nieces and nephews. Vote for Kamala Harris. Because the other guy? He’ll burn us to the ground.
