TELL CONGRESS: Elon Musk is on pace to be a trillionaire by 2027. While Trump is courting Musk for a White House job, Congress should be raising taxes on the richest Americans. Sign the petition: No one should be a trillionaire! Tax Elon Musk!

Hi,

Elon Musk is on pace to become the world’s first trillionaire.1 Yes, trillionaire.

Musk has made his fortune as the head of companies that don’t pay their fair share of taxes. He’s taken advantage of an American tax system full of loopholes for the wealthy. And with his billions, he’s gained a tremendous amount of power.

While Musk funds a right-wing super PAC2 and Trump offers Musk a role in the White House,3 Congress must protect taxpayers and our democracy by taxing billionaires before they become trillionaires.

Sign the petition: Tax the ultra rich now! Don’t let Elon Musk and other powerful billionaires become trillionaires.

Wealth inequality in America is completely out of control. Musk having a role in the White House to “reduce waste and needless government regulation”4 will only make it worse.

“Reducing waste” is what Republicans say when they want to slash Medicare and Social Security benefits while protecting corporate profits and tax breaks for the rich. When the GOP talks about “needless government regulation,” they’re talking about environmental protections, labor rights, and food safety. It’s a disgrace — just like Musk’s extraordinary wealth.

Musk doesn’t belong in our government. He should have LESS power, not more. That’s why Congress needs to tax Elon Musk and the rest of the billionaires with too much influence in America.

Sign the petition: Demand that Congress raises taxes on billionaires like Elon Musk!

Thanks for taking action,

Joey and the team at Demand Progress
