I can hardly believe it. Watching last night's debate was nothing less than historic. The first presidential debate with a woman of color as a party's nominee and, hopefully, Donald Trump's last presidential debate. But here's what's lost in the coverage and discourse about last night:
There was only one rural champion on stage.
Before I go on, can you rush a $3 location to One Country? We are building a movement that will fight to support rural champions, like Kamala Harris, and defeat the MAGA extremists who will only take advantage of rural communities. Can we count on your support? [[link removed]]

Last night, Trump had plenty of lies, hyperbole, and gusto, but he never spoke out for our community. Everything he said came back to a simple truth, that he — a 78-year-old billionaire and felon who lives at a golf resort — only cares about one person, himself.
Just think back to the first Trump presidency and remember how rural communities were left behind by his "me first" policies. From packing the Supreme Court and trade wars with China to threatening democracy and underfunding rural healthcare, Trump was only fighting for himself. And even since he slunk out of the White House, we continue to feel his influence:
The overturn of Roe v. Wade;
A once-in-a-generation, immigration reform bill that he sank;
A Republican party that is further to the right than ever before; and
A possible government shutdown just weeks before the 2024 election.
Donald Trump proved again last night that he only cares about getting votes from rural communities. He will never deliver results for them. Rural Americans need a champion, and her name is Kamala Harris. She has a proven record of standing up for hard-working Americans, not banks and billionaires, and as vice president, she's worked hard to invest in rural communities and protect our future.
The One Country team is working around the clock to elect rural champions like her and defeat the MAGA extremists who will gladly leave our communities behind. Can you help us reach out to rural voters and elect rural champions by donating $3 to One Country today? [[link removed]]
