Hi there, I’m Ayana Elizabeth Johnson, a marine biologist, and co-founder of Urban Ocean Lab.
When I was five, I wanted to be a marine biologist. At ten, I wanted to be the lawyer to get the next Martin Luther King out of jail. Today, I am an author and policy expert fighting for our oceans and planet.
Nature and humanity fuel my passion, and I know Sunrise Movements shares that same drive.
People are sometimes surprised that I spend very little time thinking about the problems of the climate crisis. I focus my energy on SOLUTIONS—just like Sunrise.
One thing is certain: for a liveable future, we need our government to take major and speedy action to stop the climate crisis. We need a Green (and Blue) New Deal.
Election day is 54 days away, and Sunrise has the power to reach and inspire those crucial voters. We’ve got a bold plan to make it happen, but we need your support to make it a reality.
Join me on September 12th for a conversation about how Sunrise PAC is mobilizing young voters. For the sake of our climate and democracy, this election demands everything we've got. [[link removed]]
