John,
Today is a solemn day in the history of America.
Twenty-three years ago, on September 11, 2001, our world changed forever. We lost the lives of 69 Marylanders, amongst many others. It was a tragic time for the American people.
This isn’t just a day for mourning, but a day for gratitude.
Today we thank our first responders. They put their lives on the line, rushing to the scene, to save as many lives as possible.
Today we thank Americans who answered the call to serve and deployed to defend our freedom overseas.
Our country is not the same country it was twenty-three years ago. It has changed immensely. Today we pause to remember the tragedy, and tomorrow we continue to build back our nation.
Elevate,
Wes
