For 18 months, Ground Game has worked to set the stage for these last eight weeks. In Dallas, we’ve aligned a popular ballot measure (marijuana reform) with two key State House races. In Bastrop, Caldwell, and Bell counties, we’re working alongside strong Democrats for state and local office. And in McAllen, we’re inspiring a key part of the Rio Grande Valley with our ballot measure for campaign finance reform and local democracy.

John, we’ve got big goals this election cycle. In north Dallas, we’re helping Averie Bishop, Democratic nominee for Texas House District 112. She’s running to replace the Republican incumbent in a district that voted for Joe Biden in 2020. We’re using the data acquired from our 50,000 signatures for Dallas marijuana reform—especially the emails and cell phones that we gathered directly from voters—to get out the vote in this pivotal race.

Democrats need to flip three Texas House seats to protect public education during the 2025 Legislative Session. Our Dallas campaign can help flip one of them.
