Hi John,

Growing up in the Philippines, youth climate justice activist Mitzi Jonelle Tan saw the climate crisis all around her. In the increasing typhoons threatening her home country and the communities being displaced by rising sea levels.

The fossil fuel industry is making trillions from causing this destruction. That’s why governments in the global north should have brought this toxic industry in line years ago. Instead, we’re seeing more delay, while people in climate-vulnerable countries like the Philippines pay the price.

Mitzi helped shape the global demand for an exit plan from fossil fuels. She’s been fighting for a Fossil Fuel Treaty ever since. That's why she’s coming to the UK to talk about how the treaty can help us win a globally just transition.

We need big, bold solutions if we’re going to tackle the climate crisis and stop countries like the Philippines being sacrificed to fossil fuel bosses' insatiable greed.

That’s why Mitzi has joined other activists and governments from some of the most climate-vulnerable countries in spearheading the demand for a Fossil Fuel Treaty. This is a fight for the future and for the transition to clean, green energy that leaves no worker, community or country behind.

Join Mitzi and other exciting speakers to consider how we can campaign locally to build the international movement to transition from toxic fossil fuels and plan for a greener, cleaner future.

I hope you can join us.
