Remembering Sept. 11— and the life of Andrea Haberman
“The quietest girl in the world ends up being in the middle of the biggest event of our generation.”
— Shelley Casey, aunt of Andrea Haberman, the 25-year-old St. Norbert’s graduate who, on her first trip ever to New York or the World Trade Center, died in the North Tower on 9-11.
Andrea Haberman, subject of a 2011 book by Badger Institute President Mike Nichols, Just a Few Sleeps Away, was one of 2,977 victims on the morning of Sept. 11.
WSAU’s Meg Ellefson invited Nichols on air this morning to discuss the book.
In its pages, Nichols details the family’s discovery of hope and goodness amid unimaginable and overwhelming grief.
