John,
Summer is coming to an end, and the first signs of fall are in the air! Here at FairVote Minnesota, that can only mean one thing: it’s election season!
*
This
fall,
we’re
working
hard
to
protect
and
expand
democracy
in
our
state.
After
another
successful
appearance
at
the
state
fair
(where
we
signed
up
more
than
1,300
new
RCV
supporters),
we’re
turning
our
attention
to
electing
a
pro-RCV
majority
in
the
Minnesota
House
of
Representatives.
*
At
the
same
time,
in
Bloomington
we
are
in
full
swing
to
defend
ranked
choice
voting
from
a
repeal
attempt
by
extreme
RCV
foes.
*
And
voters
across
the
country
are
preparing
to
vote
on
the
future
of
RCV
in
their
states.
FairVote Minnesota continues campaign to win RCV legislative majority
This summer, we endorsed legislative candidates from across the state [[link removed]] with our RCV Democracy Champion Badge. And after helping a number of those candidates advance out of contested primaries, we have now turned our focus to the general election.
The RCV Local Option Bill narrowly missed passage in the Minnesota House of Representatives this spring, coming up only two votes short. We are working hard to secure those votes so we can pass the bill in 2025 and allow all Minnesota cities, counties, and school districts to adopt RCV.
Now is the time — join our doorknocking crew in key swing districts and be on the front lines of democracy expansion in our state! Let’s elect a pro-RCV majority this November!

RCV across the country
RCV is everywhere! This November, six states and the District of Columbia will vote on RCV.
*
Four
states
—
Nevada,
Colorado,
Idaho,
and
Oregon,
along
with
DC
—
will
vote
on
whether
to
adopt
RCV.
*
Alaska
voters
will
decide
whether
or
not
to
repeal
it
—
yep,
the
same
Heritage-aligned
RCV
foes
attacking
RCV
in
Bloomington
are
trying
to
repeal
it
in
Alaska.
*
Missouri
voters
will
cast
ballots
on
an
RCV
ban.
*
Finally,
Arizona
and
Montana
will
vote
on
ballot
measures
that
could
eventually
lead
to
RCV
adoption.
