John – it goes without saying that our world has changed dramatically over the past few months, and we hope you and your loved ones are well.

It is undeniable that COVID-19 is a crisis across all healthcare, including sexual and reproductive health (SRH), so we’ve got some updates to share with you to help keep you informed:

While healthcare providers battle the troubling threat of COVID-19, ensuring the continuity of sexual and reproductive health services remains a top priority for IPPF. Over 5,000 service delivery points have already been forced to shut, but our Member Associations (MAs) have been quick to adapt to difficult circumstances. They are truly extraordinary – here are some of their stories:

The Sudan Family Planning Association, headed by Elshafie Mohamed Ali, have launched a call center and app to support citizens’ sexual health needs. MORE > [link removed]

Marjo, a medical student & volunteer with the Albanian Center for Population and Development, has been supporting young people during this time by carrying out safe doorstep deliveries of contraception & pregnancy/HIV tests. MORE > [link removed]

Our MA in Lebanon SALAMA recently re-opened their doors! They're taking precautions to minimize the risk of COVID-19, but for now are able to resume many of their vital sexual & reproductive health services. MORE > [link removed]
