On this day twenty-three years ago, America suffered the worst terror attack in history. September 11, 2001 was a day that changed the world and will forever live in infamy.

Today, we honor the memory of the nearly 3,000 lives lost in the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center, The Pentagon, and Flight 93 in Stonycreek Township.


That tragic day shook our nation to its core, but it also revealed the very best of America — our strength, our courage, and our unwavering commitment to freedom. The brave first responders who rushed toward danger, the men and women who stood tall in the face of evil, and the countless heroes who emerged from the ashes remind us of the greatness of our nation.


On this day, we stand together as one people, united by our love for our country and our belief in the ideals that make America exceptional. We are the land of the free because of the sacrifices of those who have gone before us, and we are the home of the brave because of the indomitable American spirit that can never be broken.

No matter how much time passes, we must never forget September 11, 2001, and what it means to be an American.


We will never forget the lives lost, the families forever changed, and the heroes who inspired us all. Today and every day, we honor them by standing strong, standing united, and standing proud as Americans.
