John,
I wanted to reach out to you this morning to talk about the American spirit.
Today, folks are coming together to pay their respects for those killed in the 9/11 terrorist attacks and to honor the brave first responders and everyday Americans who were courageous on that dark day and the weeks that followed.
These ceremonies are happening in towns both large and small here in North Carolina and across the country.
While September 11th will always be a reminder of those terrifying attacks, it also acts as a reminder of our collective strength and resilience as Americans.
We are stronger when we come together — and when times are tough, we always do.
Together, we will continue to show up for one another, defend our democracy, and live up to our American values.
