Never Forget!

Dear John,

We all remember where we were that fateful morning of September 11th, 2001. Many of us lost friends and family that day.

For me, one of my clients was on the 103rd floor of the second tower to be hit, which was the first to go down. Jim Berger of Aon stayed back to be sure all his people were out, and he went down with the building. He was a hero.

One of his staff - that I spoke to frequently, took the stairs down to the 90th floor (where the elevator bank was, and you changed elevators). The floor was stuffed with people waiting for an elevator down. Luckily, he was standing in front of the elevator when the doors opened. He got in and made it out of the building just before it crumbled.

God Bless the 3,000 plus people and first responders that lost their lives or were impacted that day - Jim Berger among them.
