Donald Trump's response to the COVID-19 pandemic has been nothing short of disastrous. He has placed his personal and political interests above the interests of the American people. He has repeatedly lied about the nature of the threat and dangerously undermined health and government officials who have sought to protect us. Through his reckless incompetence and indifference, Trump has made the United States the world leader -- by a very large margin -- in COVID-19 cases and deaths. His continued presence in the Oval Office will lead to countless more infections and preventable deaths.
We must not allow that to happen. *We are calling on Donald Trump to resign immediately from the Office of the President of the United States.*

Trump has proven that he is a threat to our republic, to our Constitution, and to our health and safety as a people. His suggested treatments of chloroquine [ [link removed] ] and injecting disinfectants [ [link removed] ] have led to additional illnesses and even death. He is denying shortages of tests [ [link removed] ] and personal protective equipment [ [link removed] ], and he is distributing lifesaving supplies to states based on whether their governors are "appreciative [ [link removed] ]" of his efforts. He has even said that the deaths of up to 100,000 Americans would be a "sign of success [ [link removed] ]."
In the midst of the largest public health crisis in over a century, Trump is utterly and dangerously unfit for the responsibilities of the presidency. He must resign now.
