Today on the anniversary of the September 11th terrorist attacks, I am reminded of the incredible resilience, bravery, and unity that emerged from one of our nation’s darkest days. On that fateful day, we lost nearly 3,000 innocent lives—mothers, fathers, sons, daughters, first responders—and our sense of safety was forever altered. But from that tragedy, we also saw the very best of the American spirit.
We honor the memories of those we lost, and we stand with the families who continue to carry the weight of their absence. We remember the firefighters, police officers, and everyday citizens who ran toward danger to save others. Their courage is a reminder that, no matter the threat, we remain united in our shared values and love for this country.
This anniversary is also a reminder of the ongoing work we must do to protect our homeland. In a world still fraught with threats, we must remain vigilant. Our borders are the first line of defense in preventing future tragedies. Securing them is not just about policy—it's about protecting our families, our communities, and our way of life. Together, we honor the past, protect the present, and ensure a safer future for generations to come.
As we remember 9/11, we reaffirm our commitment to the safety and security of all Americans. Let us never waver in protecting our nation’s freedom. #NeverForget
