John,
It’s been 23 years since America changed forever.
On September 11th, 2001, three thousand Americans lost their lives, and
countless first responders are still suffering the effects of this tragic
attack.
But just like a phoenix from the ashes, our country survived.
The indomitable American spirit can never be destroyed, and our first
responders, law enforcement officers, veterans, and active duty troops are
proof of that every day.
I believe that this spirit is woven into the fabric of who we are as people
and as a country.
We took the metal from the Twin Towers to forge the warship USS New York.
I’m proud to have served the greatest country on Earth, and I will never
forget everyone who gave their lives for it.
I’m not afraid to say it: I’m honored to be an American.
Thank you, and God Bless America.
In Liberty,
