Donald Trump, Kamala Harris Debate Hardly Touched on Top Issues of Inflation, Crime
Reporter Ryan Saavedra: Vice President Kamala Harris is asked if Americans are better off now than they were under former President Donald Trump. She did NOT answer the question and lied about Trump’s economic plan. David Muir failed to note that Harris did not answer the question ( X). Clay Travis: Virtually no questions tonight on inflation, cost of goods, or the economic impact of costs of goods on families. Which is BY FAR the number one issue for Americans. Limited questions on the border, virtually nothing on crime — except a botched fact check from Muir ( X). Hugh Hewitt: Trump did not win the debate but I think he won the election with an assist to ABC because it was so in the tank for Harris that it was repulsive. Voters did see Harris dodge every question that was even slightly difficult and tried to erase her record and Biden’s. Voters expected accountability on the economy, inflation and border but got an ABC buffet of lefty agenda journalism that will not cover for the failures of the past three and a half years. Democrats think they won the debate and the election. It is 2016 all over again ( X). Benny Johnson: TRUMP: “They’ve had three and a half years to fix the border, three and a half years to create jobs, and all the things we talked about. Why hasn’t she done it” ( X).

ABC News Proves to Be Overtly Biased Against Donald Trump
This debate is three against one. Shameful. Breitbart: ABC News’ Linsey Davis decided to side openly with Vice President Kamala Harris in the presidential debate on Tuesday night, repeating the mistake CNN’s Candy Crowley made in 2012 when she intervened (incorrectly) in a debate between Republican challenger Mitt Romney and incumbent President Barack Obama over Benghazi. In this case, Davis responded to Trump’s claim that there are states where babies are allowed to die after they are born after failed abortions. “There is no state where it is legal in this country to kill a child after it is born,” she said, It is illegal everywhere to kill a child, or to decide to have an abortion after a healthy birth, but it is not illegal in some states to allow a baby to die after a delivery induced for medical reasons ( Breitbart). Abigail Shrier: This is the most partisan debate moderation I have seen. This is Candy Crowley x 10 ( X). Melissa Tate: The moderators didn’t fact check Kamala Harris on: the “fine people” Charlottesville hoax. on IVF. Project 2025. bloodbath hoax. But they keep “fact-checking” Trump. This is a set up ( X). Charlie Kirk: This is not a debate, this is public show trial where the judge, jury, and executioner is ABC News ( X). Elise Stefanik: These ABC moderators are not journalists. They are Democrat activists ( X). Ben Shapiro: ABC’s moderators are a disgrace to their profession ( X). Hugh Hewitt: Not one question about China, no serious questions to Harris —not one— on Israel. And they are ending on…Obamacare. Astonishing. A disaster for ABC’s reputation. Trump was right: “ABC is the worst” ( X).

Remembering 9/11
New York Post: It’s been 23 years since America watched in horror as the Twin Towers fell on live TV. Nineteen al-Qaeda terrorists, hailing from Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Egypt and Lebanon, hijacked four planes and killed 2,977 of us, shaking the nation to its core. America was suddenly, brutally awoken to the menace of those who hate our country and what we stand for. Heroes stood up: Todd Beamer and his fellows on Flight 93; firefighter Stephen Siller and his Brooklyn-Battery Tunnel run; Morgan Stanley’s visionary Rick Rescorla and so very many more . . . some whose names we’ll never know. And, for all the errors of the War on Terror, the terrorists have never ended their war on us. Yet America, or at least its leaders, risks falling back into the complacency that led to the atrocity we swore to “never forget” ( New York Post). GuamChamber: 23 years ago. We remember. Today, we remember the heroes, the fallen, and a strength of a nation united ( X). Hill: Former President Trump and Vice President Harris will both mark the 23rd anniversary of the 9/11 attacks at stops in New York City and Shanksville, PA ( Hill).

Majority of Democrats Support Allowing Illegal Immigrants to Vote in Elections
Newsmax: House Republicans will give Democrats another “opportunity” to pass the SAVE Act, a measure to prevent noncitizens from voting in American elections, that will also, if tied to a continuing resolution, “responsibly fund the government,” Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., said Tuesday. “Only U.S. citizens should vote in U.S. elections, and the Democrats apparently don’t agree with that,” Johnson said at the weekly House Republican Leadership press conference. “When we put the SAVE Act on the floor in July, 198 House Democrats voted against it. Well, we’re going to give them another opportunity” ( Newsmax). Charlie Kirk: The SAVE Act, which requires proof of citizenship to vote in federal elections, has passed in the House 221-198. All but five Democrats voted against the bill making it extremely clear: Democrats want illegals voting in November ( X). Townhall: Democrat Jerrold Nadler: “Dangerous legislation like the SAVE Act…requiring proof of citizenship to vote in federal elections” ( X)!

Congress Bestows Highest Honor on 13 U.S. Servicemembers Killed During Afghanistan Withdrawal
Associated Press: House Speaker Mike Johnson on Tuesday posthumously presented Congress’ highest honor — the Congressional Gold Medal — to 13 U.S. service members who were killed during the disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan, even as the politics of a presidential election swirled around the event. Both Democrats and Republicans supported the legislation to honor the 13 U.S. troops, who were killed along with more than 170 Afghans in a suicide bombing at the Abbey Gate at Kabul’s Airport in August 2021. President Joe Biden signed the legislation in December 2021. On Tuesday, the top Republican and Democratic leaders for both the House and Senate spoke at a somber ceremony in the Capitol Rotunda, hailing the lives and sacrifices of the service members. Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer called on the lawmakers gathered to “ensure the sacrifices of all our servicemembers were not in vain” ( Associated Press). Fox News: The attack also left roughly 170 Afghans dead. Tuesday’s ceremony comes two days after Rep. Mike McCaul, the Republican chair of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, released a scathing 350-page report that took a fine-toothed comb to the military’s 2021 Afghanistan withdrawal and highlighted areas of serious mismanagement. The Republican-led report opens by hearkening back to President Biden’s urgency to withdraw from the Vietnam War as a senator in the 1970s. That, along with the Afghanistan withdrawal, demonstrates a “pattern of callous foreign policy positions and readiness to abandon strategic partners,” according to the report ( Fox News).

Melania Trump Questions Government Officials for Burying Answers Around Assassination Attempt
National Review: Former first lady Melania Trump called out law enforcement and the media for the lack of answers surrounding the assassination attempt against her husband in a rare public video message. “The attempt to end my husband’s life was a horrible, distressing experience. Now, the silence around it feels heavy,” Melania Trump said in a video message shared on social media promoting her upcoming memoir. She went on to blast law enforcement for the failures that allowed would-be assassin Thomas Matthew Crooks to climb up to a nearby rooftop and fire eight shots into the crowd at Donald Trump’s campaign rally in Butler, Pa. on July 13 ( National Review). CNBC: Kimberly Cheatle, who had been the Secret Service’s director at the time of the shooting, resigned on July 23, a day after members of a House of Representatives committee lambasted her and the Secret Service over their handling of the shooting ( CNBC). Democrat Accuses Victims of Illegal Immigrant Crime of Being “Exploited”
Katie Pavlich: The House Judiciary Committee held a hearing on Capitol Hill Tuesday featuring victims of illegal alien crime, family members and victims rights advocates. During her time, Democratic Congresswoman Veronica Escobar claimed Republicans were “exploiting people’s pain.” Her claims were immediately met with disgust by the witnesses… Testimony throughout the hearing was gut wrenching, with pleas from parents for control over the U.S.-southern border ( Townhall). Townhall: SMUG Democrat tells MOMS who testify about their children’s deaths at the hand of violent illegal alien criminals that they’re being “exploited” by Republicans. You NEED to hear how they responded ( X). House Judiciary GOP: 3 daughters gone too soon. Their mothers believe it’s the result of the policies of “Border Czar” Kamala Harris ( X).

Kamala Harris Finally Posts Issues Page: Basically a Cut-and-Paste From Biden’s Page
Ed Morrissey: After nearly seven weeks of dodging the media and refusing to produce nearly any agenda for her proposed presidency, Kamala Harris finally published an Issues page on her website. Her vague and generalized policy “values” amount to nothing more than a rehash of Joe Biden’s agenda items from his State of the Union speeches. Forget ‘rehash,’ as it turns out. Think flat-out plagiarism instead, and from an ironic source. The New Republic reports this morning that a peek at the code reveals that the entire page got lifted from Joe Biden’s old campaign website ( HotAir). Collin Rugg: The development comes as Harris is trying to brand herself as a “New Way Forward.” After weeks of avoiding posting her ‘issues’ to her website, Harris quietly published them just 48 hours before the debate. According to The New Republic, Harris directly copy and pasted parts of Biden’s policy plan. “A New Way Forward” is total BS ( X).

IDF Releases Video of Tunnels Where Hamas Executed Six Hostages
Times of Israel: Footage showing the inside of a tunnel in the southern Gaza Strip where six Israeli hostages were murdered by Hamas terrorists last month and their bodies found and recovered by Israeli troops two days later, was released by the Israel Defense Forces on Tuesday. The video showed IDF Spokesman Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari giving a tour of the claustrophobic underground passageway in Rafah’s Tel Sultan neighborhood. The tunnel was seen littered with bottles of urine, women’s clothes, and large blood stains on the ground, where the hostages were murdered. Hostages were executed in the tunnel by their captors on August 29, before being discovered by troops on August 31. Alongside the footage, the IDF released new details of the tunnel and the operation to find the bodies of the six murdered Israelis, including that they were being held only some 700 meters away from where another hostage had been rescued alive days earlier. The tunnel where their bodies were found is a narrow 120-meter-long passageway — not tall enough to stand in without bending over — that connected parts of a large underground network in the Tel Sultan neighborhood, which according to the IDF belonged to Hamas’s Rafah Brigade ( Times of Israel). Israel Defense Forces: IDF Spokesperson, RAdm. Daniel Hagari, reveals the underground terrorist tunnel where Hersh, Eden, Carmel, Ori, Alex and Almog were held in brutal conditions and murdered by Hamas ( X).

U.S., Britain Accuse Iran of Supplying Russia With Missiles to Use Against Ukraine
Associated Press: The United States and Britain formally accused Iran on Tuesday of supplying short-range ballistic missiles to Russia to use against Ukraine, announcing new sanctions on Moscow and Tehran before a joint visit to Kyiv by their top diplomats. U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken, speaking alongside British Foreign Secretary David Lammy during a visit to London, said Iran had ignored warnings that the transfer of such weapons would be a profound escalation of the conflict ( Associated Press). National Review: The U.S. Treasury and the State Department in the past few years have imposed economic sanctions on people and companies based in Iran, China, Russia, Turkey and other nations who officials allege are connected with the development of Iran’s drone program ( National Review).
