Webinar: Join Us to Discuss Credit Building for Youth Who Are Aging Out of Foster Care Register Today! [[link removed]]
More than 23,000 [[link removed]] children age out of the US foster care system every year once they reach the age of 18 and 20 percent [[link removed]] of those who age out become homeless. Credit has a significant impact on financial security, with credit history being used to not only determine eligibility for financial products, but also for getting a job and renting a home. Helping transition-age youth safely build their credit early on can minimize their financial challenges in the future.
Join experts from Case Commons, First Place for Youth, the Nebraska Children and Families Foundation, the Right Way Foundation and Prosperity Now on Thursday, September 5 from 1:00-2:30 PM ET for a webinar where we will explore how organizations can help young people who are transitioning from the foster care system build credit and address financial challenges.
In this webinar, we will discuss the impact that credit-building services can have on young people, lessons learned from organizations who have already implemented credit-building services and resources that organizations can use to implement credit-building supports. While the lessons learned are based on organizations serving youth who have aged out of the foster care system, much of the information shared will apply to groups serving other financially vulnerable youth.
Connect with others in the field and learn more about this crucial issue on Thursday, September 5 from 1:00-2:30 PM ET as we discuss the important role that organizations can play in helping young people navigate the world of credit.
