Friend, this Grandparents Day, our grandparents should be enjoying some well deserved rest and relaxation. But JD Vance just doesn’t see it that way.
See, in 2020, JD Vance hopped on a podcast to talk about how his mother-in-law quit her job to move in with his family and help raise his kid. But he wasn’t expressing gratitude over her sacrifice, or advocating for more affordable childcare.
Instead? He wholeheartedly agreed that that’s “the whole purpose of the postmenopausal female.”
Friend, our grandmothers were the vanguard of the movements to protect safe, legal abortion access. They were the ones who fought to ensure women could own property, open credit cards, and enter the workforce.
To relegate our senior women to society’s de facto caregivers isn’t just morally reprehensible — it’s a slap in the face to the hard-fought advocacy and the change they brought about for future generations.
Friend, Kevin Kiley, JD Vance, and Donald Trump have made it clear they’re ready to gut Social Security and Medicare, raise the retirement age, and make it harder for our seniors to retire with dignity overall. Help protect our grandparents and advocate for them the way they fought for our future — pitch in to help send me to Congress on November 5.

To me, fighting for our seniors isn’t even about politics. It’s about making sure the people who gave so much to our communities can reap the fruits of their work and enjoy retirement on their terms.
Happy Grandparents Day to all!
