Tim is a Family Policy Alliance Board member and we asked him to give us a quick note about American Restoration so we could share it with you.

From Tim Goeglein, Family Policy Alliance Board Member:

I recently authored along with Craig Osten, American Restoration: How Faith, Family, and Personal Sacrifice Can Heal Our Nation. Craig and I looked at all the doom and gloom we have seen and heard over America’s current cultural climate and felt we needed to provide a hopeful vision for renewing the founding values of our nation. That is why we wrote the book.

That renewal starts in our homes, neighborhoods, and communities. It starts with not seeing those who disagree with us as enemies, but as individuals who we need to build bridges to, rather than burn bridges with. In addition, if we are to restore our nation’s biblical foundations, as well as marriage, family, education, life, and numerous other critical areas, we must find ways to instill faith‐based values in our children, winsomely communicate them to our neighbors, and live them out in our lives and in our communities. That is how American restoration will happen.

We see American Restoration as a primer on how we, as Christians and concerned citizens can take steps to love our neighbors, and in turn, impact our nation in a positive way so we can be salt and light to those around us and so they understand and appreciate the values that made America what Ronald Reagan referred to as the “shining city on a hill” of freedom for all to see, and adopt those values in their lives.

American Restoration is available at www.amazon.com.
