John, it's no secret that access to reproductive healthcare is one of 2024's biggest issues. And with Amendment 4 on the ballot to enshrine the right to an abortion into our state constitution, prop-choice groups and elected officials are working hard to get out the vote for this issue.
But not every candidate has made their position on the amendment clear — including Donald Trump.
Before we ask you to support consistent pro-choice champion Lois Frankel, let's take a look at what Trump has said:
FIRST: He was never shy about his demand for a national abortion ban and is known to brag about his role in overturning Roe v. Wade.
THEN: After numbers show that a majority of South Floridians, and folks across the country, believe in the right to an abortion, he called DeSantis' six-week abortion ban "a terrible mistake."
NOW: After receiving heat from anti-choice extremists, Trump is now "making things clear" — he'll be voting NO on Amendment 4 this November.
With all this back and forth, it's clear that we can't trust Trump – or anyone who aligns themselves with him – to protect our fundamental right to control our family planning decisions.
And while we're doing all we can to ensure that folks across our community hear about Amendment 4, we can't ignore the voice of anti-choice rhetoric in our own district: Lois Frankel's GOP opponent.
Trump-endorsed, anti-choice and anti-safety, he's too extreme for our community. To make sure Lois can defend her seat in November, we're working hard to spread the word about what Lois has done to fight for control over our own healthcare decisions and whether or not we start a family.
However, we can't get as far as we'd like without a strong coalition of grassroots supporters. If you can, will you join our pro-choice movement with a donation today?
