Hey,

Donald was an electrician for decades, so he knows better than most the dangers that many workers face on the job. The fight for workers' rights has come a long way, but -- unfortunately -- not every worker makes it safely home at the end of the day.

April 28th is Workers' Memorial Day, a time to remember those who have died on the job. But this day of remembrance feels particularly poignant as countless American workers are fighting on the frontlines and risking their lives every day to keep the rest of us safe.

We've already lost at least 27 health care workers to COVID-19, not to mention the over 9,000 who have become infected on the job. The United Food and Commercial Workers International Union has also reported that at least 30 grocery store employees have died from this virus to date.

These workers are heroes, and that's why Donald wants to make Workers' Memorial Day an official federal holiday. Add your name now to support our efforts to formally recognize the immense sacrifices countless workers have made on the job -- during this pandemic and throughout our nation's history.

Saying "thank you" isn't enough. Before this crisis hit, 275 workers died each day as a result of hazardous working conditions. And a total of 5,250 Americans died on the job in 2018 alone. We owe it to these hard-working men and women to shine a light on their stories, take time to honor them each year, and use this new federal holiday as a rallying cry for safer working conditions for all.

Donald will continue to fight for our nation's workers -- and we hope you'll join his efforts today by showing your support for making Workers' Memorial Day a federal holiday. Add your name now >> [link removed]
