Kari Lake’s at it again.

They deleted this one pretty quickly, but let us explain: In that tweet they used a few quotes of Ruben’s from the aftermath of January 6th about how he was ready to fight to defend our democracy that day.

Ruben helped bar the doors to the floor of the House of Representatives. He taught his colleagues how to use their gas masks and regulate their breathing. He was ready to use his training as a Marine to defend himself. He carried a rifle in Iraq, but all he had then was a pen.

Still, he was ready to fight.

Trump sent a mob to storm the United States Capitol. They were inspired by the lies, conspiracies, and election denial that Kari Lake still spreads to this day. They wanted nothing less than a coup.

Apparently Kari Lake thinks defending our democracy is unhinged. We think it’s a core function of the job she’s running for, and this is just one more example of how she is completely unqualified to serve in the U.S. Senate.

If Trump and Kari Lake win in Arizona they will retake both the Senate and the White House. We can’t let that happen.
