Dear Neighbor,

As members of Congress, one of the most important and basic obligations we have is to keep the government open and fund the services that hardworking American taxpayers rely on.

Unfortunately, instead of working with Democrats in a bipartisan manner to keep the government running, House Republicans have decided to waste time with a highly partisan short-term continuing resolution inspired by Trump’s Project 2025 that will do nothing for the American people.

Their six-month stopgap bill would hurt our veterans, the military, disaster assistance, and domestic investments – all while giving handouts to billionaires and big corporations.

On behalf of working families and everyday Americans, Democrats will not accept these harmful cuts to our nation.

Republicans must put aside these extreme policies that have no chance of becoming law and work with Democrats to pass a short-term continuing resolution that meets the needs of the American people while protecting their safety and wellbeing.
