Dear supporter,

It is clear taxpayers want members of Parliament to take a pay cut. Since launching our petition ([link removed] ) , over 25,000 taxpayers have signed it. Momentum is building. And now we need your help to push even harder.

The prime ministers of New Zealand, India and Japan have already taken pay cuts. So have many other politicians around the world. But somehow Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and the rest of Canada’s MPs have yet to do the right thing.

That is why we need to kick this campaign up a gear.

Politicians watch public opinion polls closely. A few percentage points one way or the other can change a politician’s policies completely. Normally, we focus on influencing Canadians to impact the polls. But based on our research, we’re betting a huge majority of Canadians today will tell pollsters that politicians should take pay cuts, just like the rest of us.

That is why we need your help. We’re working with a national polling firm to ask Canadians a simple question: should MPs take a pay cut? Scientific polling isn’t cheap: we need to raise $1,100 to put the poll in the field immediately.
