It’s been a busy week here in Washington, but I wanted to take a few seconds to reach out.

Between the presidential debates, Trump’s twitter feed, and the daily catastrophes that his administration brings, it’s hard to know where to act and what to do next. There’s always another crisis brewing.

The chaos and dysfunction of this administration makes it difficult to know how to react and fight back.

I’m facing an FEC deadline tomorrow at midnight. That means everyone, and I mean everyone, can see exactly what we have in the bank. If we show weak numbers, Washington talking heads and operatives will take it as a sign that our common sense, compassionate approach to immigration and gun reform and affordable healthcare doesn’t have support — that our House Democrats in California and across the nation don’t have the backing of American people.

I can’t let that happen .
