It has been 75 days since we all turned on the TV to watch the first presidential debate between Donald Trump and President Joe Biden — but it feels like a lifetime.
It’s a reminder that *a lot* can happen in a short period of time, so let’s recap everything that has happened since that debate.
59 days ago, there was an assassination attempt at Donald Trump’s rally in Pennsylvania.
57 days ago, Trump named Ohio Senator JD Vance as his running mate.
51 days ago, President Biden made the patriotic decision to step down from the ticket and endorsed Vice President Harris.
35 days ago Vice President Harris announced Governor Tim Walz as her running mate.
We are now 56 days out from Election Day. Absentee voting begins in Michigan in just 16 days.
All year, I have been telling my staff to expect what we in the national security world call “black swan” events — moments that you cannot predict but change everything.
We have certainly seen a few already, and we should expect to see more. As the past few weeks have made clear, a lot can happen in this final stretch.
Like every good operation, we have shown that we are able to adapt to changing circumstances.
So if today is the day where you are considering making a donation to help keep Michigan blue, I hope you are confident that we are a good investment.
Ahead of Vice President Harris’s debate with Donald Trump, will you chip in directly to our campaign to turn out the voters we will need to win and support not only our race for the U.S. Senate, but also propel candidates up and down the ticket?
