Many of our FAMMily members have expressed interest in finding ways to put their advocacy skills to work in real time. We have an incredible opportunity to do so right now! The Inter-Agency Committee on Healthy Aging and Age-Friendly Communities is seeking public comment and feedback on their Strategic Framework for a National Plan on Aging. Noticeably absent, though, is a focus on including incarcerated elders and aging people in re-entry in this framework.

This is a unique opportunity for those of us interested in issues around aging, incarceration, and reentry to submit public comment. FAMM is submitting feedback as an organization, and we encourage each of you to do the same! The submission form is quite simple, with an option to attach a document as well.
