Hey Folks,
We hope you’re free after work today, people, because the second presidential debate is tonight! Vice President Kamala Harris will be debating former president Donald Trump at 8pm Central Time. And if you think that’s too late of an hour, at least we’re not the folks on the east coast that have to watch it at 9pm!
But for those that do choose to watch into the night, they’ll be given two radically different visions for America. The America Harris will argue for is one defined by reproductive freedom for women everywhere. An America where the tax burden is placed on big corporations and billionaires, not the lower and middle classes. And an America where the government sides with workers and unions, not the CEOs that prioritize shareholder profit over worker’s rights.
The vision of America given by Trump will be less of a vision, and more of an apocalyptic prophecy. One full of internal enemies he has to jail in order to make his own supporters ‘safe’. One plagued with mass deportations, and a government filled with cronies that serve him, not the country. Where only a strongman can lead, and where women cannot compete. It will be an America that Trump will say can only be great if he is given complete control.
Most Americans have already seen the difference between these two visions, and we can only hope that more do tonight. Because only together can we beat Donald Trump, and prevent our nation from going back to the dark times before. This year will not be another 2016. We’ve seen what Trump can do, and this time Americans are ready. And thanks to all of your support, we know you’ll be leading with us at the front of the pack.
