The Democrats said I look “just plain weird.”
I know I do, but the story behind it’s one only God could write.
While serving in the Army in Afghanistan, I was blown up by a Taliban bomb.
I was on fire and nearly died.
But God had a plan for me.
A soldier said “Sir, I’ve got you!” and put out the flames, saving my life. I was left permanently scarred.
In the hospital, I began to realize why I was spared. I met my lovely wife and recommitted myself to a life of service.
My injury gave me a new opportunity to connect with others, especially those who don’t fit in or feel helpless, and give them hope.
I know I look weird. I know running for office is weird. But I’m doing this to serve God, my country, and you. I will always put Duty First.
Can you chip in a few bucks today and join the Duty First Movement?
