Fight for a Union

Fast food work has always been tough, but recently it’s been getting worse.

Executives are squeezing us. They sit in their comfortable, air conditioned offices and decide how much time it takes us to make food, serve customers, and more. Most of them have never worked in a fast food kitchen, yet they’re the ones who decide whether we’re "good" workers or not.

What they don’t understand is the stress of customer harassment, the dangerous working conditions, the strain of understaffing, the difficulty of unreliable schedules, and the constant burden poverty wages have on me and my colleagues.

In short, corporate fast food giants created an inhumane system for workers like me, all so they can pad their year-end bonuses.

We have had ENOUGH. We’re tired of being overworked and underpaid. We’re tired of being treated like we’re machines by people who don’t know or care about us. That’s why we’re speaking out. Share now and spread the word >> [[link removed]]

CEOs and executives should come and walk in our shoes. They should know what it’s like to be worked to the bone, yelled at by customers, stand over a hot stove in an un-air conditioned kitchen. They should know what it’s like to go through all of that and still struggle to make ends meet. They should have to reckon with the system they built.

We all deserve dignity and respect. We have EARNED a living wage, safe workplaces, and a voice on the job. We ALL need a union.

There are people who think that because we are low-wage workers that we don’t deserve to be treated with respect. They’re wrong. Spread the word: we ALL deserve dignity and respect on the job, no matter what. [[link removed]]
