Should the FDA review harmful food chemicals?
[[link removed]]
The FDA is failing us, friend.
Their job is to ensure our food is safe, yet chemicals detrimental to your health still lurk in thousands of products on our shelves. While the EU has banned these chemicals, the FDA hasn’t even reviewed the science behind them in decades. Here’s the shocking truth:
* Titanium dioxide: Used in over 3,000 foods, linked to DNA damage, last reviewed by the FDA in 1966.
* Red Dye No. 3: Found in 2,000+ products, linked to hyperactivity and cancer, not comprehensively reviewed by the FDA since 1971.
* Propylparaben: A preservative in baked goods, tied to hormone disruption but labeled “generally recognized as safe” because of outdated FDA review.
This is unacceptable. But we have a rare opportunity to make our voices heard. On September 25, the FDA will hold an unprecedented meeting to hear public comments on food chemicals of concern. We need to demand action.
We’ve already seen success with the California Food Safety Act in 2023, which banned four toxic food additives. Now, similar efforts are springing up nationwide, but powerful corporations will fight to protect their profits and block these overdue reforms.
We need your input now more than ever. We’re rallying 5,000 top supporters to send a loud and clear message to the FDA: Get harmful chemicals out of our food!
Your feedback matters. Will you stand with us and take our quick survey by midnight tonight?
