  • Allegheny County could soon create a Juvenile Detention Board of Advisors to oversee the  Shuman Juvenile Detention Center, according to a consent order that settles a legal dispute around the controversial reopening of that facility earlier this year.  
  • Workers at the Mon Valley battery manufacturer Eos Energy voted to join the United Steelworkers. Union supporters said they were organizing for greater workplace stability and protections and a say in how green manufacturing is built in the area.
