Last week, you heard from Courtney Mutschler, an educator at a Playworks school, about how Playworks reshaped the recess experience for her students and herself.
Together with their Playworks Coach, Courtney and her team are creating a community where every student can experience the joy and camaraderie of play. This includes encouraging young leaders to take on more responsibilities through their Junior Coach program.
“Junior Coaches play a vital role in my Kindergarten classroom. They engage my students in play, begin group games and help resolve conflicts.” says Courtney, “The Junior Coach program has been wonderful to help foster cross-grade level leadership and play.”
Play brings students together, fostering connections and friendships that form the foundation of a supportive community, both at school and beyond. At Courtney’s school, kids learn how to develop positive relationships, learn conflict resolution, and teamwork.
As students return to school this season, your support helps educators create a world where all kids can build lasting connections and lifelong skills. Join us in making a difference - together, we can build supportive communities by ensuring every child thrives.
