|
Everyone can play a role in shaping a world where justice and rights prevail for both people and the planet. Imagination holds great power, and what can be imagined can be created together.
The UN SDG Action Awards serve as a testament to the extraordinary work being done around the world to turn these hopes into reality. This year, the #SDGAwards received more than 5,500 applications from 190 countries in three categories – Creativity, Impact and Changemaker Awards. In May, a call went out to the international SDG Action Community to seek initiatives and committed individuals who are wielding the power of creativity and innovation to bring us closer to a more sustainable, equitable and peaceful world. The call was answered with more than 5,500 submissions from all over the world.
It’s an honour to share the stories of the 2024 class of finalists, ahead of the winner announcements which will be revealed at the UN SDG Action Awards Ceremony in Rome on 29 October 2024.
Meet some of the most impactful initiatives and individuals of 2024 who are driving impact and transforming communities across the globe.
