Documenting Young People’s Experiences of Self-Isolation – an Online Photography Project.

** Young Photographers Wanted!
------------------------------------------------------------
Hello John,

We're launching an exciting new initiative to discover what the experience of isolation and Covid-19 restrictions has been like for young people - through their own eyes.

Find out more or get involved >> ([link removed])

**
What is the Project?
------------------------------------------------------------
We want to make visible the experiences of young people in Ireland under the current restrictions and record them for the future. If you would like to support young people to take part in this project ([link removed]) , we want to hear from you!

**
How Does It Work?
------------------------------------------------------------
Photographs for submission can be taken on a phone and submitted easily online - no specialist equipment needed! A photography practitioner will be available to provide advice and support to your group.

We will set a simple weekly photography challenge for young participants, and ask you to submit some of their work to us. Selected images will be compiled into an online gallery hosted on NYCI's website, youth.ie ([link removed]) .

** Project Objectives
------------------------------------------------------------
* To provide a creative outlet for young people at a time when their usual movements are restricted and when they are isolated from friends, school, and peer groups, etc.
* To document and make visible their experiences during the Covid-19 situation and its impact on their lives
* To create a visual record of this time and these experiences

Up to 10 groups will be chosen to represent different perspectives from across Ireland taking into account rural and urban submissions as well as diversity and inclusivity.

I look forward to seeing your group's submissions ([link removed]) .

If you have any questions, let me know.

Warm regards,

Anne
