John, building our movement hasn’t been easy, but thanks to our grassroots supporters, we’ve been able to accomplish great things. Here’s a quick reminder of what we’ve been up to recently:

• We’ve welcomed hundreds of new supporters to our movement (and counting!).
• We've worked with NYC's Department of Education to get a letter sent out on safe firearm storage to one million families.
• We’ve spoken out about teachers’ role in this fight everywhere from podcasts to CBS News to the main stage at the Democratic National Convention.

But we’re only getting started.

We’re fighting every day to keep our schools and communities safe for our students and educators, but we’re teachers, not fundraisers, and now that school has started again, we have even less time to raise money.
