According to the National Hurricane Center, Francine is forecast to be a hurricane when it reaches the Gulf Coast on Wednesday, September 11.
Damaging and life-threatening hurricane-force winds are expected in Louisiana, where a Hurricane Warning is now in effect. There is a danger of life-threatening storm surge inundation for portions of the Texas and Louisiana coastlines where a Storm Surge Warning is in effect.
